6. Cookies and Server Log-Files
The HYDROPHON website uses cookies. Cookies are text files that are placed and stored on a computer system via an Internet browser.
The use of cookies enables the websites and servers visited to distinguish the individual browser of the data subject from others.
Some cookies are essential for the operation and display of the website and do not collect any personal information. Others, however, make it possible to adapt your site visit to your preferences and user behavior. In this case, we ask for your consent to set these optional cookies when you visit our website for the first time.
You can prevent the setting of cookies for all websites by changing the settings of your Internet browser. You can configure your browser settings according to your wishes and, for example, refuse to accept third-party cookies or all cookies. Cookies that have already been set can be deleted again. We would like to point out that you may not be able to use all the functions of this website.
For technical reasons, so-called server log files are also created. In these files, the hosting provider stores technical data (browser type and browser version, operating system used, time of the request, IP address) that the browser automatically transmits to it. This data is not merged with other data, which means that it is not possible to identify individuals.
We use the “Real Cookie Banner” consent tool to manage the cookies and similar technologies used (tracking pixels, web beacons, etc.) and related consents. Details on how “Real Cookie Banner” works can be found at https://devowl.io/de/rcb/datenverarbeitung/.
The legal basis for the processing of personal data in this context is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR and Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the management of the cookies and similar technologies used and the related consents.
The provision of personal data is neither contractually required nor necessary for the conclusion of a contract. You are not obliged to provide the personal data. If you do not provide the personal data, we will not be able to manage your consent.

Your IP address will be shortened by Google before transmission within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.
You can find Google’s privacy policy here: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.
8.1 Google Tag Manager
Google Tag Manager is a solution that allows marketers to manage website tags via a single interface. The tool implements the tags itself and is a cookie-free domain. Google Tag Manager does not access the data of other cookies and does not store any personal data. If a deactivation has been made at domain or cookie level, this remains in place for all tracking tags that are implemented with Google Tag Manager.
Further information can be found in the Google Tag Manager usage guidelines (https://support.google.com/tagmanager/answer/7157428).
8.2 Use of Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and that enable an analysis of your use of the website.
The legal basis for the use of the service and the associated data transfer to Google is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can prevent the storage of cookies by making a corresponding change in the cookie banner; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
You can find more information on this at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout or at www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/privacyoverview.html (general information on Google Analytics and data protection). We would like to point out that on this website Google Analytics has been extended by the code “gat._anonymizeIp();” in order to ensure an anonymized collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking).
8.3 Google Maps
We use Google Maps, a service of Google Inc., on our website to enable route calculation and to display geographical information visually. When Google Maps is used, Google collects data about the use of the Maps functions by visitors to the website. The legal basis for the integration of this service is your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR).
In addition to the privacy policy, the additional terms of use for Google Maps apply here: https://www.google.com/intl/de_de/help/terms_maps.html.
8.4 Google Ads
Our website also uses the Google advertising tool Google Ads from the provider Google Inc.
When you visit our website, we and Google can recognize that you as a user have clicked on one of our ads placed on Google and have been redirected to our site.
The information obtained via the cookie is used by Google to compile visit statistics for our website. These statistics tell us the total number of users who have clicked on our ad and which pages of our website were subsequently accessed. However, users cannot be personally identified from this information.
The legal basis for the use of Google Ads and the associated data transfer to Google is your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can prevent the installation of “conversion cookies” by making the appropriate setting in the cookie banner.
Details on Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking can be found in Google’s terms of use: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
8.5 Google Webfonts
We use script and font libraries from Google Webfonts on this website to display our content correctly and graphically appealing across all browsers. Google Webfonts are transferred to the cache of your browser to avoid multiple loading.
Google Webfonts is integrated locally on our server so that no connection to the operator of the library is established and no personal data is collected. Calling up script and font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the operator of the library. It is theoretically possible for operators of such libraries to collect data.
The legal basis for the use of Google Web Fonts is our legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. If you do not give your consent or the browser does not support Google Web Fonts, content will be displayed in a standard font.
9. Font Awesome
This site uses Font Awesome for the uniform display of fonts and symbols. The provider is Fonticons, Inc, 6 Porter Road Apartment 3R, Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA.
When you call up a page, your browser loads the required fonts into your browser cache in order to display texts, fonts and symbols correctly. For this purpose, the browser you are using must connect to Font Awesome’s servers. This gives Font Awesome knowledge that this website has been accessed via your IP address. The use of Font Awesome is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. If you do not give your consent or your browser does not support Font Awesome, a standard font will be used by your computer.
Further information about Font Awesome can be found in Font Awesome’s privacy policy at: https://fontawesome.com/privacy.
10. Social Media & Social Plugins
We create online presences within social networks in order to communicate with the interested parties and users active there and to be able to inform them about us.
User data may be processed by the service provider outside the European Union. This may result in risks for users because, for example, it could make it more difficult to enforce users’ rights.
10.1 Social Media
The social media page you visit offers you the opportunity to respond to our posts, comment on them, create a user post yourself and send us private messages with personal requests. The data you provide in this context and which may be accessible to us (e.g. user name, images, interests, contact details) will be used by us exclusively for the purpose of communicating with customers and interests. Our interest lies in offering you a platform on which we can display current information and with the help of which you can address your request to us and we can respond to your request as quickly as possible.
We also use social plugins on our websites for the social networks we use. You can recognize the plugins of the respective providers by their logo. When you visit a page with such a plugin, the operator of the service is informed which pages you visit. User profiles can be created from the processed data. We therefore have no influence on the scope of the data that an activated plugin collects and how it is used by the provider.
We do not carry out any further data processing beyond the basic functions of the website. Please note that the service provider may use tracking tools and cookies independently of our use of the website.
We inform you below about the processing of your personal data carried out by us in the context of the online presences provided by us. In its ruling of June 5, 2018, the ECJ confirmed the joint responsibility of the service provider and the website operator.
For a detailed description of the respective processing and the opt-out options, please refer to the information provided by the providers we use. In the case of requests for information and the assertion of user rights, we would also like to point out that these can be asserted most effectively with the providers. Only the providers have access to the user’s data and can take appropriate measures and provide information directly. If you still need help, you can contact us.
